Sweet Potato Rolls

Sweet Potato Rolls

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 cup butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup cooked, mashed sweet potato
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 tsp. ground allspice
  • 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar

Combine flour, salt and baking powder. Add butter and mix until crumbly. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Place dough on a floured surface and roll out to 1/2-inch thick. Cut rolls with a round cookie cutter and place on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for about 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
